Hot off my Hook!

I just finished this sweet sweater for my niece's birthday this week!! It's a pretty soft, baby pink cardi designed by Anji Beane. I made a few changes and made it mid-hip length for her.

I also listed two things in my etsy shop today! One of my design groups, etsyFAST, had a challenge this month with the theme of CANDY! YUM!! So I listed some fun, candy-box colored flower hair pins and a sweet raspberry truffle crochet beanie!

Now I officially do not have anything that I HAVE to make! Maybe I should make something for myself??? HMMMMM.....any suggestions?

Hot off my Hook!

Sorry I didn't post anything yesterday. I was too busy finishing up my latest crochet project!

I was busy making a sweater for Heather's best friend, and neighbor, Kathryn. She will be 6 years old next week! Boy, do they grow fast!! I figured with the weather starting to get cooler in the mornings, she could use a good sweater! In my stash of patterns I found this great hoodie sweater pattern by Anji.Beane, formerly Pink Willow Designs.

Of course I had to make my own changes to the pattern! I made the stripes wider....basically out of laziness since I didn't want to weave in all those yarn ends!!! And I left it simple without adding all the fun squirrel/fall details. I used "I Love This Yarn" which is a 100% acrylic that I purchased at Hobby Lobby. I like it's softness better than Red Heart, and it was pretty cheap too!

I was hoping to have Heather model it for you, but she is out with Kathryn and her mom shopping for party supplies!! So you'll have to just imagine how cute it will look on her!

Oh, and BTW, I am now working on my free crochet pattern for September....I hope to have it listed on Monday! Have a great weekend!

The best birthday present ever!

OK, so I really wanted a laptop this year for my birthday, but the opportunity to buy this little vehicle jumped in our face and we couldn't pass it up!!

It is definately the biggest present I have ever gottne for my birthday!! And since my husband has the tendancy to not even get me a card, it came as a big surprise!

It's a 1998 Suzuki Sidekick. 4-door, 5-speed, and dark green. It's pretty fun to drive around and my little girl LOVES it! It's basically a big box surrounded by windows and she can see everything!

Now I don't have to wake up at 6 am anymore to take my husband to work! YIPPEE!!!! And it's great on gas too!

So, I guess my laptop will have to wait. Oh well.

And by the way, it's called.............."The Toaster!" LMAO!!!!
