I went Horseback Riding!

Yesterday Heather and I went horseback trail riding for two hours...and boy do I ache today! LOL!! But actually, I don't hurt as bad as I expected to....it's only been about 9 years since I've been on a horse! (That's me in the second picture in front.)

Heather rode a sweet guy named Whiskey and I got a beautiful guy named October. He was easy to ride...unless you consider that he wanted to run me into every tree (you should see the scratches on my arms!) and I guess he thought he needed extra energy to carry my butt around because he stopped every chance he could get to eat grass! LOL!!

Heather had an absolute blast and didn't want to stop! Sooooooo....daddy will be taking her on a half day ride tomorrow! Why do I have the feeling that horses may be in our future?????

Vacation Blogging!

I loooove the town of Ouray, Colorado! Have I told you that before?? We come here every free chance we get, LOL!!! And to have this wonderful opportunity to stay here for a while week is amazing!!

Right now I am sitting in my RV and enjoying a cup of coffee. Ron and Heather took off early this morning to go ride the Durango/Silverton Narrow Gauge Train!! I am so jealous, but I have ridden it before and Heather has not. Plus someone has to stay here with the dog! My only job for the day is to pack up the RV and move it to a different campground. I'm a little bummed about that...this campground is right in town...so we can walk anywhere...the pool, shopping, a park!! But the new camp will be a few miles down the road...so there is not as much stuff to do there. Oh well, that is what I get for waiting too long to make reservations!!

I've been crocheting some....baby hats for my charity group...reading Twilight (YES!! I know, I am waaaaay behind the times on this!! But I don't get to read much!)...walking the dog...meeting new people...and relaxing! And I think the dog is closterfobic of the RV...he wants out any chance he can get!! Then he heads strait to the car....I think he's ready to go home, LOL!!

I haven't hit the pool yet, but I am taking Heather on her first horseback trail ride on Thursday!! We are both really excited about that!

Wish me luck in moving the RV....I'm not real fond of moving the 30 year old beast....even if it is only a few miles down the road! Better make myself look pretty today just in case I need to ask for help, LOL!! Now.....to keep trying to talk Ron into buying the little trailer that is for sale down the road......

Vacation Cut Short

It's with a sad heart that I post today. The wonderful visit I was having with my family from San Diego was cut short.

Late last night, my Uncle "Bub" Charles, passed away from a massive heart attack. He was 60 years old and leaves behind a wonderful wife, two children, a few grand children and brand new great-grandchild. He was a nice man and I have many fond memories of him throughout my life. I will forever be thankful for him and all that he has done for my mom ever since my own Dad died 12 years ago.

My aunt Cora(his sister)and her family decided that since they were already 1/3rd of the way there, they would hop in the van and drive the rest of the way for the funeral. My uncle Glen will even be performing the service for Bub. I would've love to go with them...but it just didn't work out for me.

While Cora and Glen were loading the van for the trip, I took the kids to the park and let them play. I also snapped some cute pictures. Even though the kids are technically my cousins....I am their "Aunt JJ" and we all had a wonderful time. I miss them already!

Family Time

Sorry I've been slack lately on my blogging. I've been busy preparing for a visit from my family that lives in San Diego. They arrived on Friday and we've been having a wonderful time. Here is a picture from this weekends trip to Ouray...can you see Ron, Heather and my niece at the bottom of the waterfall?? I'll be back soon!

New Toy!

I got a new toy yesterday!! My wonderful husband got me a new camera since he dropped my old one and it hasn't been working great since, LOL!! And this one is FANCY!! LOL!!

So last night we took a walk and I took some test shots!! Now I can't wait to finish a new project and take some pictures!! OH!! And a friend of mine had twin girls yesterday...wonder if I can talk her into letting me do some newborn photos for her????

Cash's Bath!

Silly boy found something nice and stinky to roll around in last night at his 3am potty time!! So guess what he got today...A BATH! This was my second time giving him a bath, and he actually seemed to enjoy it, LOL!! He got right into the tub without protest....must be nice getting a warm bath with mommy!! His former owner told us that she "just tied him up to a tree and hosed him down"!!! I think he is adjusting to pet-dom nicely, LOL!! And while we were at it, he also got a good brushing and his nails trimmed! What a pretty boy!!
