BIRTHDAY!

Friday was Heather's 7th birthday. Since there was no school, I organized a surprise playdate for her! Three of her friends came over for lots of fun! They enjoyed a large sugar cookie (which is supposed to look like cheetah spots) and had tons of fun!

December = Busy

Sorry I haven't been around much lately. December is my really busy month. I feel like I am running around like a nut!! I even managed to forget my mother-in-law's birthday!!! Uh oh!!!

We got our tree up this weekend. Ron and Heather got to make a snowman too. I have only done the tiniest bit of Christmas shopping and now we are on the last week of school and Heather came home early today with a head cold!

I have lots of gloves to finish knitting for custom orders that I hope to finish up this week...that is if the yarn has arrived yet! Plus I had another design accepted for publication!!

On that note...boy do I have a surprise for you!!! I can't wait to let the cat out of the bag!! I am so stinking excited!!!

This week I have three Christmas parties to attend and Heather's 7th Birthday! I can't believe my baby will be 7! So please forgive me for not posting much!!

Snow Day

Monday night we had a huge snowstorm hit us here in Western Colorado. So Tuesday ended up being a snow day! No School!! Yes, we live in Colorado, but here on the western side it is semi-desert. I've been here 13 years and this is the most snow I've seen here...close to a foot!!

Well, needless to say,the kids loved it and Cash hated it! Here are a few shots I took that day.

Etsy Twitter Team Shop of the Week - JusShar Designs

Hey everyone!! My wonderful friend Beth is the Etsy Twitter Team Shop of the Week!! You are going to love her items! I have a few of her adorable knitted items and love them! Heather has a fun red Christmas sweater and will be wearing it tonight for her school's Christmas program and today, to help keep me warm, I think I will wear the burgundy cowl she made for me!

If you look closely at her shop, you may see some things you recognize!! Beth enjoys helping me test some of my crochet patterns! She has been a wonderful resource over the years!!

Right now, I am drooling over this mango colored shrug in her shop! What a great color!

A Little Romance: Glad Hatter

YAY!! Lookie what I just found online! A preview of my newest crochet pattern, Glad Hatter!! This is in the February 2010 edition of Crochet World Magazine! It's a pair of felted hats for mom and daughter. I love the style and the large rose with hand beading!! It was such a fun design to make!! I can't wait to see everyone's take on this design! I'm sure all you creative crocheters out there will really make some very unique designs! PLEASE be sure to send me your finished item pictures!

OH.....I haven't gotten my copy in the mail yet, but I believe I am the Featured Designer in this issue!!

Another Craft Show!

I worked another successful craft show this weekend! My hands down, most popular item was a pair of fingerless knit gloves that were similar to the ones that Alice wears in the "New Moon" movie....which I finally got to see yesterday!!


But here is a picture of my table from the show and a few happy customers!
