CONTEST!!! Name This Hat!

OK...I admit it...I'm stumped!! I have no idea what to name this newest original crochet pattern from Jaybird Designs!! This fun hat features random stripes plus a few bobble textured rows! Just think of all the fun you could have with colors while making this earflap hat!!!
So, I thought it was time for a contest! YOU can help me name it! Please leave your name suggestions in the comment section and on Monday, November 24th, at noon MST I will choose the name I like best!! What will the winner get??? Well, of course they will get a FREE copy of the pattern! BUT, that is not all!! OH NO! That is not all!!! Since Monday is my wonderful husband Ron's 40th Birthday, I will also send the winner 40 "somethings"!! OHHH!!!! What could it be?? 40 marbles? 40 cupcakes? 40 skiens of yarn!!!!!!! You'll have to win to find out!
OK, so here are the pictures of the hat. Best of luck!

I'm going to go with
Textured Toque, or
Terrifically Textured Toque

I like either Heidi or goldie locks, the braids hanging on the sides reminds me of their braids in the stories.

So maybe the "Heidi Hat" or "Goldie Locks Cap"

I think a good name would be "head hugger"
or maybe "hat of tails" or " crocheted tails"

Oooh, coool, I love contests! :D

The nubs look like little stones, how about the "Cobble Cap"?

Anything that reminds me of cold weather always makes me think of Nordic people, so I'd give it a type of Norse name, like "Haldis" (stone spirit; see? stones!) You could name it the "Haldis Hat".

Or how about "Knut" (knot), the "Knut Kap" :D
Or "Quemby" (from the woman's estate), the "Quemby Coiffe" (we've got Norse AND Frensh here! LOL!)

Oh, I could keep this going all day, so I'll stop here...

I've been watching Ann Curry climb Kilimanjaro all week wearing a similar cap. So, I would suggest the "Crochet Sherpa Cap". It has a little alliteration, too.
Cute pattern!

First thought that came to mind "Cherokee Princess"

I can already see the colors I would use for it! Cute :)

When I saw the color combo, my brain automatically thought of s'mores, so I think that "S'mores" is a good name. I mean, once you make one, everyone is gonna want s'more, right? :D
I also thought of bubbles...maybe 'Bubbley Bobbley Hat'

I would call it Hot Chocolate. The hat is gorgeous, it will keep anyone warm and fuzzy! It will give you that wonderful feeling that only Hot Chocolate does when you are trying to get warm and toasty.

thanks,
Heather

I'm not a crocheter or knitter much but I love projects.

How about the name Swiss Miss? That's what came to mind when I saw it.

I think the hat is adorable. When I first saw it I thought, now that is a Noggin! So I submit calling it "The Noggin."

My suggestions are: Sky Pilot, Sleigh Rider, Flapper, or Sweedie Pie

Didn't want to go with something color-related, because it could be done in sooo many colors, but how about "I'm forever blowing bobbles?"

Knitz2 said...

several good suggestions I like already! the best I could come up with is: Bobbles Up!

ikkinlala said...

I'd call it a Curling Cap, because the bobbles kind of remind me of curling stones and the top definitely reminds me of the house (the target). It would be a good thing to wear while curling, too.

How about "The Rapunzel" or "Pippie-Long-Cap"?
