Friday Weigh In - Week 10
MyFitnessPal - Free Weight Loss Tools
Well, it took two weeks to get back down to 150lbs after a weekend full of eating. But I'm back there again. I've also lost another 1/2" in my waist....my husband almost can not believe how tiny my waist is now. He laughs every time he wraps his arms around me! :-)
I did some looking online yesterday, and I'm pretty sure if I can loose about 1/2" in the hip/butt/thigh area I will easily be able to fit into some size 10 jeans! So guess what area I will be focusing on, LOL!! Besides lunges and squats, anyone have any other suggestions on good exercises to do?
This weekend we change the clocks and my neighbor and I will be starting our evening walks again. That should help to burn a few more calories each day. Plus our walks are good for our mental health! A little time to ourselves...to complain, confide, and to not be "mom" for a few minutes. I'm looking forward to it!
Have a great weekend!

Poor Ignored Blog

Sorry guys! Been a pretty busy week here. I'm working on a few deadlines, have some custom orders, and lots of ideas floating in my head. And to top it all off, my dog has been having his "anxiety attacks" again, so I haven't been getting my housework done or even sleeping much the last few days...instead I have been babysitting the dog. He's doing better today, so I hope to get a few things done and to get closer to being caught up on my To-Do list.
Hope you are all enjoying your National Crochet Month! If you send me some pictures of anything you made from one of my designs, I'll be happy to post them here on my blog! Send them to jaybird [at] acsol [dot] net.
Have a great day!

Friday Weigh In - Week 9

MyFitnessPal - Free Calorie Counter
Well, another week down. I didn't try very hard this week...actually I didn't try at all. Guess I'm just happy that the scale went back down instead of up!
I've had a lot going on lately in my life and "dieting and exercise" are not on the top of my priority list right now. I haven't totally given up on it, but it is not my main focus. But, I would still really like to be in a size 10 jeans by my birthday in April though, LOL!
So, I'll trudge through another week and see what happens. I really need to try harder on my exercises....heck, it's only 20-30 minutes a few days a week!! I really should be able to do that!! And as long as there is not a lot of junk food or soda in the house, I can easily control what I eat! Wish me luck and I'll let you know how next week goes.
Oh....and BTW, I FINALLY managed to get my hair cut this week! LOL!! It was only my reward from week 2 or 3! LOL!!

Adopt a Designer: Deja Jetmir
Robyn Chachula, AMAZING crochet
designer and author of the CrochetByFaye Blog, has started something for National Crochet Month. In this POST she tells of different ways that anyone can help support their favorite designers! It's a great read and when you have the time, I highly recommend it!
I am going to follow her lead today and tell you about a new designer I have the pleasure of mentoring thorough the CGOA's Mentoring Program.
Deja Jetmir has a wonderful collection of independently published patterns in her etsy shop: JacquiJCrochet. I've enjoyed making a number of her Plethora of Baby Booties Pattern for my charity group. The pattern is well written and easy to follow and she offers many fun options for finishing the booties to give them a unique look!
Here is a bunch of my favorite patterns that she has available in her shop! Let's show her some love and be sure to adopt a designer of your own sometime this month!
