BC Fashion Forward Challenge

This
week the ladies over at
Boutique Cafe have challenged us to share our favorite pair of blue jeans
with our readers! This was a way-too-easy challenge for me!!!

My favorite pair of jeans started life
as a boring new pair of Layne Bryant jeans, size
ummmmmm 14tall. I then shipped them off to Texas and my dear friend Trevor (of

Kraftymommas Boutique) to work her magic!

Since we both have a love of coffee and
Starbucks, she knew exactly what to do to make these jeans MINE and reflect my
personality. A wonderful mix of applique and deco work, lots of browns and
cream, and tons of fancy stitchery later....my favorite pair of jeans were born!

I'm shocked!!!
Speechless!! This was my first design EVER accepted for a magazine....not to
mention the first one I ever submitted....and it made the COVER!!!!!!!!!!!!

My New Daughter!

Well, she's been driving me nuts every time I went to comb
her hair, so we decided to cut it all off!! She loves it!! Me???? A little
hard to get used to, but boy is she C-U-T-E!!!!! My good friend PAM is in
beauty school and did the deed for us.

So, I've been working with my very-dependant 5 year old on having her dress herself and pick out her own clothes. Look at what she chose to wear today!!!! Good thing we are staying home all day, LOL!!

What's in Your Bag??

OK, so I saw this post on Boutique Cafe and thought it would be fun! I had to share with all of you what I have inside my bag.....

First, don't you just love my handmade bag?? I sure do!! I made it myself using this pattern by Marvelous Mouse designs!!

Then we have the standard wallet/checkbook, cellphone, RayBan Sunglasses, and keys.

Since I have a 5 year old, there are also kleenex, hand wipes, hand sanitizer, and gum....her new favorite! LOL!!

For me I have lipgloss and handcream for my alway-dry hands.

And last, just this weekend I was bored and crocheted the cute little business card holder to match my purse! Isn't it cute??

So, anyone else going to share what's in their purse???

To Pattern or Not to Pattern??

Ok, so I just finished this halter/tank top. And I can't make up my mind if I like it well enough to write up the pattern in numerous sizes. What do you think??? Is it cute? Would you purchase the pattern? I wish I had a model locally to try it on....pehaps it would be easier to decide, LOL!! But, never the less, it is off to the model soon and I can't wait to see pictures!!!
