The set that was not meant to be

Ok....So I am guesting with Boutique Bijou next week and had some free time since I finished my patterns earlier than expected. I figured I would whip up another set for their launch...something I have been wanting to make for a while now. No problem....right???

WRONG!

First, I finish the top only to find a tear in the eyelet! GRRR!!! Ok...fix that problem. Off to roll the hems (BTW, I just figured out how to do this! This was only my second time!) That goes ok. Not really pleased with the results though......maybe you shouldn't roll eyelet??? hmmmm..... OK, so back to putting the serger to it's original settings and POP! A piece of it falls of and breaks in half! OH NO!! Guess this set was not meant to be, LOL!!

Oh yeah......and when I went to take a picture for all of you my camera has decided to turn off the flash and I can't get it back on!! I really need a new one!! This one is definately on it's last mile!

Ta Da!!!!!

Here it is.....all packaged up and scheduled to be picked up by the mailman on Wednesday morning!! I even got them done sooner than expected!! YAY!! Now I can go back to crocheting for fun....at least for a little bit! LOL!!

I've been working so hard on these crochet sweater patterns for Leisure Arts. But I am happy to announce that I am almost finished!! The deadline is the first of June and I am down to only having a few more to test. YAY!! They are not as good and as detailed as I had hoped, but I was told that they have some awesome editors that can fix them up. I am just thrilled to think that in about a year you will be able to walk into any craft store and buy a book of my patterns with my name on it!!

I didn't. Oh well.....I've moved on and today should be AWESOME! LOL!!

Today Heather has dance class this morning and then we have a little running around to do. This afternoon is a Birthday party for her friend Jacob this afternoon. Then this evening I'll have some Mommy time at MOPS.

1. I married my high school sweetheart at age 20. We were married 5 years before we got divorced.

2. My wonderful (second) husband was an usher in my first wedding..........

3. I am definately a daddy's girl. Unfortunately my dad passed away 10 years ago....today.

4. I competed in Miss Majorette of Pennsylvania and the Beaver County Regatta Queen pageants.

5. I have one grandparent that is still alive, my father's mother, and I don't even know her name. I believe she lives in Florida.

6. My quirk for dealing with bad/frustrating situations is to vent and complain for a while, then suck it up and move on, LOL!!

7. I am happy to announce that I have lost 20 lbs in the past 6 months!! (and 5" in my waist!!!)

Metamorphosis!!

Remember this dress???

Well, the buyer asked if I could make some
modifications to it. She asked to make the dress into a baby-doll top and create
a pair of ruffled shorts to go with it. I really like how it turned out!!

Now that Summer is just about to start, I am making a bunch of variations to it, LOL!! I'm having so much fun coming up with new patterns for the "skirt" part......and making some fun things to go with it!! So, keep an eye out for more HALTER SETS!!
